From the Sysop point of view, however, HyperBBS uses the power of HyperCard to make setting up and running a BBS as simple as possible. It is my hope that having a simple-to-use BBS widely and cheaply available will foster an explosion in BBSs. All you need is a computer you don't use 24 hours a day, a second phone line (only a few dollars a month), and a little free time to set things up and run them. I plan later on to build a user-side HyperCard stack, so that the BBS is as easy to use as it is to Sysop. -- part contents for background part 28 ----- text ----- Introduction Setting up the BBS Running the BBS BBS Internals Appendices -- part contents for background part 29 ----- text ----- Welcome How to Use Sysop Help BBSs HyperBBS How to Proceed
